33 Acres of Forests, Ponds, and Meadows at Wood Duck Hollow Protected Forever

- Successes

Wood Duck Hollow’s 33 acres of forests, ponds, and meadows have been protected forever. Charlotte Watts, who purchased the property in 1990 and spent years stewarding the land with her late partner Charlotte McElroy, recently donated Wood Duck Hollow’s conservation easement to North Olympic Land Trust to ensure the perpetuity of this beloved landscape.

“Long after I’m gone, this land will continue to be protected, and that means the birds, bees, bobcats and bears I love will continue to find refuge at Wood Duck Hollow.”
