4,500 Acres Conserved in the Greater Oak Creek Wildlife Area

- Successes
The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) and Forterra worked together to conserve 4,500 acres at Cowiche Creek.  RMEF worked with the family landowners to identify a pathway to conserve their land. When it came time to sell, Forterra purchased the land until WDFW could buy the property. Cowiche Creek has been added to the greater Oak Creek Wildlife Area.
