Join us in welcoming Claire Fox as our new Outreach and Development Coordinator

We are excited to share the great news that we have brought on Claire Fox as our new Outreach and Development Coordinator.

Claire recently moved to Seattle from North Carolina, and has happily put down roots in Washington. She holds a B.A. from Dickinson College and Master of Environmental Management and Master of Forestry degrees from Duke University. She started her career in organic farming and environmental education, and has since focused her work on the forest-agriculture-soil nexus.

Claire’s previous professional roles include the Natural Heritage Area assistant at the Duke Forest, a GIS intern at the Rainforest Alliance, and a policy analyst at the World Food Policy Center. These experiences have informed and fueled her passion for sustainable land management and community-driven conservation. In her free time, Claire enjoys hiking, camping, and exploring the parks and forests of the Pacific Northwest.

As Outreach and Development Coordinator for WALT, Claire looks forward to helping share the stories of Washington’s diverse land trusts and advance conservation in our state. She brings passion and commitment to our collective cause, and will be a fabulous addition to our team that will help take our Association to new heights.

Join us in welcoming Claire to the WALT team! If you would like to get in touch, email Claire at Claire@walandtrusts.org .
