After 111 years, Chinook salmon returned to the cool waters of the Little Spokane River as Spokane Tribal Fisheries released 51 adults into Waikiki Springs Nature Preserve last month.  The nearly 200-acre nature preserve is protected and managed in a close partnership among the Spokane Tribe, Inland Northwest Land Conservancy, and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
