Alternative Ownership Models for Conserved Farmland – Model Lease & Easement Documents

Equity Trust has developed, and continues to refine, alternative ownership models designed to keep farms affordable for farmers and producing food for their communities. One is an agricultural ground lease where the farmer owns the buildings and other improvements, the other is an agricultural conservation easement with an option to purchase at agricultural value.
