Last month, Chelan-Douglas Land Trust secured a 221.6 acre conservation easement above Wapato Lake near Mason, Washington. The conserved land offers high-quality shrub-steppe habitat for wildlife in the transitional pine zone environment and sits adjacent to public lands allowing for a healthy wildlife corridor. This project would not have been possible without the collective efforts of CDLT, Chelan County Public Utility District, and landowners Denis and Irmi Atam.
