This year, Skagit Land Trust secured a loan from the Washington Opportunity Fund to expand and provide access to Big Rock County Park, in collaboration with Skagit County Parks. The expansion will offer enduring public access to trails and natural spaces in a region that is rapidly developing. This is also a spiritually significant place to the Upper Skagit Indian Tribe. Additionally, this initiative will safeguard wetlands, a creek, and a rejuvenating native forest.
