The Bud Blanchard Trail opened for public use two years ago, and the 2.5-mile wooded trail is getting good use from walkers, hikers and bicyclists.
The Eatonville Dispatch’s article Hit the Trail with Pleasure details the partnership effort to create this community resource. Nisqually Land Trust helped to protect the riverfront property along the route.
In the article, Joe Kane, Nisqually Land Trust’s executive director, calls the trail “one of Eatonville’s most popular attractions.”
The land trust now hosts nature walks on the trail, which runs through part of the town of Eatonville and along the Mashel River.
