Peaceful shores on a river

In March, North Olympic Land Trust and the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe finished the purchase of 104 acres of farmland and habitat, dubbed “River’s Edge”, paving the way for a huge restoration victory on the Dungeness River.

With this purchase the North Olympic Land Trust now owns 64 acres of farmland along Towne Road.  The Dungeness Valley has a long agricultural history, and the land trust will work to attain a permanent conservation easement in the hopes of selling to a farmer.
