Methow Conservancy’s 4th grade Schoolyard Science Program, which wrapped up in June, takes an alternative approach to science education by integrating mathematics, biology, and ecology with outdoor education. The program culminated in a field trip to Homestream Park, which was guided by Mark Miller, a Methow Elder. Through exploring interpretive exhibits, roughly 60 students learned about the Methow People and salmon habitat.
