The Listen Up Collaborative, a partnership between Great Peninsula Conservancy, Bainbridge Island Land Trust, Jefferson Land Trust, Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe, Point No Point Treaty Council, Northwest Natural Resource Group, Kitsap County Parks, and the Cornell Lab, uses acoustic bird monitoring to manage for fire and climate resilience and enhance habitat for bird conservation in Western Washington. Their incredible work was recently featured in the New York Times’ prestigious “50 States, 50 Fixes” series. Read the article here!
