An expanded wildlife and recreation corridor just outside Spokane

With the help of a $100K gift from the Washington Trust Bank, Inland Northwest Land Conservancy was able to secure key parcels needed to connect Palisades City Park and Riverside State Park (seen here), which will create an 11-mile wildlife and recreation corridor only minutes from Spokane’s urban core. CDLT Announces Farmland Acquisition during Earth Month

Just before Earth Day, the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust secured an agricultural conservation easement on over 2,400 acres in Douglas County with Vernon Breiler, a fourth-generation rancher. Skagit Land Trust Conserves Entrance to Samish Island

The latest acquisition from the Skagit Land Trust ensures the public entrance to Samish Island is permanently protected. The beach along Padilla Bay also holds historic and cultural significance for the Coast Salish people. Blooms Preserve is Doubled!

Capitol Land Trust recently more than doubled the size of Blooms Preserve.
